MEET LIV

Ever since I was a young, movement and food have been a part of my life. From making pancakes with my father to pretending the back of our couch was a balance beam, these two things have shaped my life into what it is today. 

I started my career as a professional chef studying at Johnson and Wales University and Alain Ducasse’s Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie. After graduation I moved from Miami, FL to San Francisco, CA to work as a baker at Tartine Bakery. It was while living in San Francisco that I rediscovered my love of gymnastics, rock climbing and fitness. I started going to adult gymnastic classes and regained the skills I once had as a young girl. This sparked inside me the desire to learn more about the human body and the potential it has to do incredible feats. 

I became a certified personal trainer and started my career at Equinox. I continued to study while there and learned how to optimize my programming for clients so that it tailored to their wants and needs. But more importantly I gained the knowledge of how to write efficient programs that are interesting, different, and challenging at any level of fitness. 

After leaving Equinox, I moved to New York, NY and continued my career as a personal trainer at the infamous DogPound. I was able to apply and test different modalities to an array of clients and push them to reach their goals. I continued to learn even more about programming efficiency and the science surrounding through various certifications so that my clients received the best possible training.  

It was bittersweet to leave DogPound to pursue my dreams of having a business and private clients of my own, but finding roots and community in Raleigh, NC has given me great joy. When I am not pushing the boundaries of training with my clients and reaching their goals, I am knocking down my own! If there is anything I have learned through my entire fitness journey is that anyone can achieve their goals. Even if you are starting at zero, anyone can do it through hard work, determination, and the ability to overcome the obstacles. With the right mindset and motivation, either internally or externally, people can achieve and accomplish anything!
